Let me clear my throat! Badadada da da da...

Blogging. I tried to start blogging, I don't remember when because I think I posted 3 times? So what makes me think I'm gonna blog now? Well lemme tell ya.
Firstly I met the ladies of www.craftcritique.com and www.crafttestdummies.com. I had met Sarah Moore at renegade handmade's big craf-travaganza in Chicago while helping out my friend and fellow long beach craft maffiette Kelso of Kelso doesn't dance. And as I fell in love with Chicago I forgot about my new found friend at craft critique. Months later whilst seting up for a trade show, Kelso had mentioned that at CHA, the craft & hobby association super show we should give her and the craft critique booth a visit and re-introduce ourselves. Kelso ended up hangin with the ladies during the whole show and on one of the evenings I was there we all went out to dinner.
We had a blast chatting it up, getting our craft dork on and being spazes at yogurtland. Amongst all the hub bub I was convinced I should start a crafty blog.
And while I am a maven of craft, I have not completly sold my soul to the craft devil. You see, while I do like to make stuff and use my hands, I went to college for fashion design where terms like "homade" and "loving hands at home" were considered insults by our professors and snootily laughed at. I have such a great love of runway shows, designer stuff and upscale stores that are almost art installed fashion museums (hello, church in weho..). So with the advent of all these great fashion blogs like style rookie (I heart tavi so) and fashion pirates, I have become greatly inspired to write my own fashion blog. I mean Jesus tavi's been front row at Paris fashion week, why wouldn't I give fashion blogging a crack?
So what is a girl to do? If it weren't for joining the craft mafia, I financially wouldn't have been able to sell Leatherette Heart in certain venues. And while I love all my craft friends and my glue gun (I'm considering getting one tattoed) my inner fashion snot, is scoffing
at the whole craft thing and saying "pshaw!". Color me schizophrenic : /
But then in an epiphany I realized what I must do. My blog would be about both. Since I don't have a factory I use many tools found at Joann's and Micheal's to make my high fashion threads I figured I'd marry the two. So here is the space where you can get snarky fashion comentary and I'll give you ideas on how to use crafty stuff for more refined projects. All while writting up the usual blogety blog narcisistic type postings.
Hope to see you at a fashion week soon. XO
